The European Consumer Centre (ECC) Germany is the first contact point for all German consumers with cross-border issues and also for foreign consumers living in Germany.

In case of difficulties with a trader based in another EU country, Norway, Iceland or the United Kingdom we will help you free of charge if you cannot solve the problem on your own.

Alternative Dispute Resolution and Online Dispute Resolution

Are you having problems with a trader from another EU member state? By contacting an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body, consumers can settle their disputes with traders amicably, fast and mostly free of charge.

We put together the most important information on how an ADR procedure works, how the ODR platform of the EU Commission operates and we list all the ADR bodies in Germany as well as ADR bodies in Europe.
